Special Event Permit Application:

The City of Grover Beach has prepared guidelines to assist in determining whether an event requires a Special Event Permit (i.e., for private parties planning a gathering or activity to be attended by 100 or more people requiring public resources beyond the normal pattern of traffic and travel or general calls for service). Thanksgiving Thankfulness Contest 

Deadline: November 18th

Virtual Contest 

Fee: FREE

Share your answer with the Grover Beach Parks and Recreation Department by emailing GBParks@groverbeach.org by 5 p.m. on November 18. Accompanying photos are encouraged. Three winners will be announced on Friday, November 19th ahead of the November 25th Thanksgiving holiday. The grand prize entry will win a dinner for four from The Spoon Trade while the second and third place winners will receive a Cornish game hen and Thanksgiving dessert!

Santa's Workshop - 11:00 am

Tree Lighting Ceremony - Sunset 


Join us December 4 at 10 A.M. for the 54th annual holiday parade beginning at West Grand Avenue and Oak Park Boulevard. Santa's Workshop will take place immediately following the parade at Ramona Garden Park, which will be transformed into a 5- ton snowy winter wonderland! Don't miss live music by the band Critical Mass, hot cocoa and snacks for the magical tree lighting ceremony at sunset.

Show your holiday spirit by decorating your home or business. Nominate your neighbor, yourself, or your favorite local business owner to earn bragging rights in your neighborhood! 

Submit photos or videos of your decorated home or business to gbparks@groverbeach.org. Winners will be announced on social media. Don't forget to share your photos online and tag the City!
