1. How do run for City Council?

City Council elections are held in November of even-numbered years, and the nomination period for candidates typically begins in mid-July.To be eligible for a seat on the City Council, a candidate must live in Grover Beach, be at least 18 years of age, and a registered voter of the City. 2. How can I register to vote?

Voter registration forms are available at City Hall, the U.S. Post Office, some local libraries, as well as online through the Secretary of State's Office. If you have moved to a new permanent residence, changed your name, or changed your political party choice, you must re-register.
